Peer review process

ReCoDD applies a rigorous and transparent editorial procedure based on double-blind peer review in order to guarantee the scientific quality of the texts it publishes.

General principles

Every manuscript submitted to the Community and Sustainable Development Journal is first examined by the editorial team to check that it complies with the journal’s scope, presentation standards and ethical requirements. Manuscripts that pass this stage are then sent to reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

Double-blindAuthors and reviewers are not identified to each other during the review.
Scientific rigourOriginality, method, relevance and contribution are examined.
Reasoned decisionThe editorial office communicates its decision together with, where necessary, comments for improvement.

Stages of the process

  1. Receipt of the manuscript. The article is received through the website form or by email at admin@leseditionsuac.com.
  2. Editorial screening. The editorial office checks compliance with the journal’s scope, the author guidelines and the presentation rules.
  3. Anonymisation. All information that could identify the authors is removed before the manuscript is sent to reviewers.
  4. Peer review. The manuscript is assessed for its scientific interest, methodology, coherence of analysis, quality of writing and relevance of the bibliography.
  5. Editorial decision. The journal may accept the manuscript, request minor or major revisions, seek a further review, or reject the text.
  6. Revision by the authors. The authors submit the revised version together with, where necessary, a response to the reviewers’ comments.
  7. Final preparation. Once approved, the article is prepared for layout, DOI registration and online publication.
