An ethical and theological reflection on doctrine and discipline within the 8th CEPAC

The teaching of biblical doctrine and its ethical application constitutes a pastoral imperative. In this article, we have defined the key concepts that constitute our theme. We have also reviewed the ten themes that constitute biblical doctrine and biblical discipline. After analyzing the results, we found that the 8th CEPAC, in its confession of faith, recognizes six out of ten themes. As for the application of discipline, the assessment of the seriousness of the fault is reserved for the competent hierarchical leader. In order for all to attain unity of faith and knowledge of Jesus, the teaching of biblical doctrine and its application is imperative, following the example of the teachings of Jesus and his apostles.

L’enseignement de la doctrine biblique et son application éthique constituent un impératif pastoral. Dans cet article, nous avons défini les concepts clés qui constituent notre thème. Nous avons aussi passé en revue les dix thèmes constituant la doctrine biblique et la discipline biblique. Après l’analyse des résultats, nous avons constaté que la 8e CEPAC, dans sa confession de foi, reconnaît six thèmes sur dix. Quant à l’application de la discipline, l’appréciation de la gravité de la faute est réservée au chef hiérarchique compétent. Afin que tous parviennent à l’unité de la foi et à la connaissance de Jésus, l’enseignement de la doctrine biblique et son application sont impératifs, à l’exemple des enseignements de Jésus et de ses apôtres.
